The effects of Suz12 on e-cadherin in particular may contribute to the invasive and metastatic potential of breast carcinoma, with high miR200, low Suz12 and high e-cadherin levels associated with primary tumors and low miR200, high Suz12, and low e-cadherin observed in metastatic tumors [24].
