Two of the variants were found to be significantly associated with lung cancer risk; XRCC3 T241M (heterozygote OR, 0.89, 95% CI 0.79–0.99 and homozygote OR 0.84, 95% CI 0.71–1.00), and XPD K751Q (heterozygote OR 0.99, 95% CI 0.89–1.10 and homozygote OR 1.19, 95% CI 1.02–1.39), but there was no sex differences in the stratified estimates of XRCC3 T241M [55]. The gene discussed is ERCC2; the disease is lung carcinoma.
