Patients with p53+/p21− carcinomas had significantly better overall and recurrence-free survival than those with p53+/p21+ (mean value 94.5 ± 5.0 vs. 58.2 ± 8.7 months (p < 0.0001) and 86.5 ± 6 vs. 51.5 ± 8.5 months (p = 0.003)) (Figure 2A, 2B). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and carcinoma.
