LANP, vessel dilator, kaliuretic peptide, ANP and urodilatin (a peptide made in the kidney by differential processing of the ANP prohormone, which consists of ANP plus the four C-terminal amino acids of kaliuretic peptide attached to it) eliminate 86%, 71%, 57%, 43% (p < 0.001 for the cardiac hormones) and 25% (p < 0.05; urodilatin) of the human small-cell lung carcinomas [42].
