FABP4 and obesity disorder: Obesity is associated with adipose tissue inflammation[4] and an increased production of the pro-inflammatory adiopkines such as leptin, interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), lipocalin 2 and adipocyte fatty acid binding protein (A-FABP) which have been shown to enhance tumorigenesis in different tumor cell line models and animal based studies[5,6,7,8] .
