In the present study, we demonstrated that AE-BCT, the aqueous extract of Bamfusae Caulis in Taeniam, reduces the metastatic potential of malignant HT1080 cells by reducing MMP-9 activity via suppression of ROS-mediated NF-κB activation under conditions of PMA stimulation, and prevents pulmonary metastasis of B16F10 melanoma cells in vivo (Fig. 1–7). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is melanoma.
