Consistent with these observations, in HCV infected cells, cytoplasmic Nup155 exhibited an ∼55% overlap with NS5A (Figure S6B and S6C), and, more generally, the increased cytoplasmic NPC foci seen during infection occupy similar regions of the cytoplasm as membranous web-associated NS5A (as revealed using anti-Nup98 antibodies; Figure S5B). This evidence concerns the gene NPC1 and infection.
