Our previous studies demonstrated that HCC cells after insufficient RFA induced angiogenesis via hypoxia inducer factor (HIF-1) α/ VEGFA in vitro[8], and insufficient RFA could facilitate the growth and metastasis of residual hepatic VX2 carcinoma owing to the induction of over-expression of PCNA, VEGF and MMP-9[9]. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
