In prostate cancer cells, such Ca2+ entry would occur at a resting membrane potential (RMP) window, as shown previously for Cav3.2 channels in LNCaP cells (Mariot et al., 2002), in other endogenously expressing cell models (Bijlenga et al., 2000) and in overexpressing cell models (Xie et al., 2007). This evidence concerns the gene CACNA1H and prostate carcinoma.
