The present data show that the LY6K transcript was significantly overexpressed in the stage II lung adenocarcinoma samples, suggesting that the upregulation of the LY6K gene may contribute to the development of this cancer, and therefore, that LY6K may potentially be used for predicting the prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma, as previously reported for NSCLC (12). Here, LY6K is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
