The levels of tumor-marker antibodies [sialic acid: 82.1 mg/dl (normal, 45.6–75.4 mg/dl), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), α-fetoprotein (AFP), carbohydrate antigen 72-4 (CA72-4), carbohydrate antigen 12-5 (CA12-5), carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9), carbohydrate antigen 15-3 (CA15-3), cytokeratin 19 fragment (CY21-1) and neuron-specific enolase (NSE)] were within the normal range, as were the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (31 mm/h), serum protein electrophoresis, blood parathormone level [21.55 ng/l (normal, 15–65 ng/l)] and albumin levels. Here, CEACAM5 is linked to neoplasm.
