Figure 3F shows colocalization of p-AKT with the melanocytic marker HMB-45, indicating that in melanoma cells AKT is activated. Furthermore, we performed double immunohistochemistry for p-AKT and GFAP, a marker for glial cells, and for p-AKT and CD14, a monocyte/macrophage marker. As shown in Figure 3G and H, p-AKT does not colocalize with GFAP or CD14. Here, AKT1 is linked to melanoma.
