The 5-year event-free survival of the 20 positive patients was significantly worse than that of the 217 pediatric CN-AML patients lacking the translocation (27.4%vs 59.6%; P= 0.01), demonstrating that CBFA2T3-GLIS2 fusion transcript is a novel common feature of pediatric CN-AML predicting poorer outcome [12].
