Extending the analysis to a validation cohort of 55 children, the DHH-RHEBL1 fusion was globally detected (including the 2 cases in the sequencing cohort) in 8 out of 20 (40%) of the CBFA2T3-GLIS2-positive patients, indicating that this novel fusion transcript is recurrent and peculiar to this specific group of pediatric CN-AML. This evidence concerns the gene GLIS2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
