We observed that CA125 alone has an AUC of 0.87, on the other hand, our newly identified 5-marker panel has an AUC of 0.98, indicating improved efficiency when detection of CA125 is combined with other 4 putative protein biomarkers for detection of ovarian cancer (TIMP-4, OPG, PDGF-R alpha, and MSP-alpha). This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF11B and ovarian cancer.
