While it is tempting to speculate that the relationship between Fbxo7 and NF-κB signalling may be instrumental to its role in various pathologies, none of the currently known PD-associated Fbxo7 mutants (see §9) appear to affect NF-κB-dependent transcription ex vivo [81], and the ability of Fbxo7 to affect NF-κB signalling in a cancer context has yet to be probed.
