Rhesus macaques (RMs) inoculated with live-attenuated Rev-Independent Nef ̄ simian immunodeficiency virus (Rev-Ind Nef ̄SIV) as adults or neonates controlled viremia to undetectable levels and showed no signs of immunodeficiency over 6-8 years of follow-up.
