To gain insights into this possibility, we chose three cell lines MegA2, MegO1 (megakaryocytic) and Nalm1 (B lymphoid) that exhibited higher AML1 transcript levels compared with those of normal and CML-CP samples, and examined the effects of shRNA-mediated silencing of AML1 (Figure 2). The gene discussed is CP; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
