LEF1 and colonic neoplasm: Consistent with this study, our current data showed that downregulation of LEF1 significantly inhibited colon cancer cell proliferation in vitro by increasing the sub-G1 apoptotic population, prolonging the G0/G1 phase, and reducing G2/S phase in LEF1-knocked down SW480 and SW620 cells in vitro and in nude mouse xenografts, which confirmed two other previous studies in human endometrial and colon cancers [9,23].
