In present study we have identified 26,6% of breast tumors with TP53 mutations and significantly lower levels of DNA methylation in RASSF1A, PTEN, PPP2R2B, FOXC1, ABCB1 and BRCA1 compared to tumors with wild type TP53. Since in our study we had low number of basal-like tumors (37 out of 238) we cannot confirm association between TP53 mutated and unmethylated tumors and basal-like but most of the basal-like samples were TP53 mutated and had lowest methylation levels compared to other subtypes (data not shown). The gene discussed is PPP2R2B; the disease is breast neoplasm.
