The potential oncogenetic role of RHAMM is supported by various studies demonstrating an overexpression of RHAMM during tumor development and a prognostic significance of its expression in breast, colon, brain, prostate, endometrial, and pancreatic cancers, as well as in leukemia, aggressive fibromatosis, multiple myeloma, and melanoma [115–117]. The gene discussed is HMMR; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
