CRP and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: Table 1 summarizes their demographic and clinical characteristics, smoking pack-years, and serum levels of TG, TC, HDL, LDL, ox-LDL, CRP, and ROS. Patients and controls were similar in terms of age, sex, and smoking pack-years. FEV1% predicted among COPD patients was 86.87 ± 21.64%, suggesting that most had mild airflow limitation.
