CXCL16 has also been shown to regulate T cell homing to the CNS in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) [16], and it was recently shown in this model that immature myeloid cells expressing CXCL16 redirect CXCR3 + CXCR6+ and myelin-specific T cells from CNS to lymph nodes [17]. Here, CXCR3 is linked to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
