Glioblastomas (GBM) are highly vascularized tumors: several antiangiogenic drugs including bevacizumab (Avastin®, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, Basel, Switzerland), a monoclonal antibody targeting the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), have been investigated for their treatment [1]. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and glioblastoma.
