Some studies demonstrated that upregulation of Tiam1 is correlated to aggressive behavior of human cancer and poor clinical outcome of patients in several types of malignant tumors, such as breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, liver cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, as well as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9]. This evidence concerns the gene TIAM1 and breast cancer.
