We found that both c-kit+ and c-kit− ILC2 accumulate in the lung throughout the course of infection, however, these two ILC2 subsets appear to be recruited in a biphasic manner, that is c-kit− ILC2 are predominant during the acute phase of infection (0–7 d.p.i.)while the c-kit+ dramatically increase during the recovery phase (Figure 2B). This evidence concerns the gene KIT and infection.
