Consistent with time-course analyses suggesting that the majority of infection-associated phosphoproteomic changes occur during early-to-late stages of infection (Fig. S1), ERK1/2 phosphorylation, c-Jun phosphorylation, and the retardation of MARCKS mobility only were evident in cells infected with WT MHV68 or WT MHV68 in the presence of cidofovir (Fig. 3C). The gene discussed is MARCKS; the disease is infection.
