We found that the concentrations of ox-LDL, IL-6, TNF-α and the inflammatory marker hs-CRP were significantly higher in acute gout attack patients than that in healthy controls or in the IP gout patients (P < 0.05), but the levels of TGF-β were significantly lower in the acute phase group than in the IP group and healthy controls (P < 0.05). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is gout.
