APOB and gout: In the present study, we found that the main features of the lipid profile in gout patients is that the levels of TC, LDL-C, ApoB and Lp(a) were significantly increased and the plasma HDL-C levels were significantly decreased in acute episode gout patients, which are in line with the typical atherogenic lipid profile and similar to the results in Takahashi’s study [26].
