When correcting for other covariates as risk factors, the rs5215_GG genotype of Kir6.2/KCNJ11 was found to be significantly associated with CAD after multivariate analysis (OR = 0.319, p = 0.047, 95 % CI = 0.100–0.991), evidencing a “protective” role of this genotype, as shown in Table 4a. Here, KCNJ11 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
