Among the miRNAs which we found to be altered in TRAPS, MiR-150, miR-92 and miR-17 have been shown to be key regulators of specific lineage choices in the adaptive immune system and serum miR-150 levels have recently been negatively correlated with the plasma TNF-α levels in patients with sepsis [41]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and TNF receptor 1-associated periodic fever syndrome.
