Forty-five patients with hematologic malignancies underwent RIC (fludarabine, melphalan, and ATG), followed by T cell depleted haploidentical CD34+ cells from a non-maternal donor (CD34+ cell dosage up to 3 × 106 c/kg), and an UCB graft (minimum cell dose of 1 × 107 c/kg and at least a 4/6 HLA match). The gene discussed is CD34; the disease is hematologic disorder.
