HNF4A and neoplasm: Recently, the findings in rat liver cancer model studies suggested that the transcription inhibition of HNF4alpha was related with tumor progression and dedifferentiation, and exogenous expression of HNF4alpha could make the chemical-induced rat dedifferentiated carcinoma reverse its malignant phenotype [33], proving that reduction of HNF4alpha expression played an important role in HCC progression, and was closely related with EMT.
