In multivariate Cox regression analysis using TG2 overexpression (cytoplasm or stroma), age, ER/PR status, tumor stage, grade and nodal status as variables in the model, TG2 accumulation in tumor stroma (p = 0.014, Hazard’s ratio, H.R. = 2.7, 95% C.I. = 1.2–5.9), T-stage (p = 0.001) and grade (p = 0.034) emerged as independent factors associated with poor prognosis of breast cancer patients (Table 3).
