In the PE(ΔIII)/E7 protein-vaccinated mice, 100%, 60%, and 40% of the mice depleted of CD8+ T cells, CD4+ T cells, and NK1.1 cells, respectively, grew tumors within 30 days after tumor challenge (Figure 3D), whereas in the mice vaccinated with PE(ΔIII)/E6+PE(ΔIII)/E7 protein vaccines, tumor growth occurred in 100%, 60%, and 60%, respectively (Figure 3E).
