Five (20%) patients had immunocompromising conditions (Table 1, Appendix): pulmonary sarcoidosis (CD4 count of 92 cells/mm3), diabetes and liver transplant, an unspecified immunocompromising condition, active lung cancer (patient receiving chemotherapy), and congenital hyper-IgE syndrome (Job syndrome). Here, CD4 is linked to hyper-IgE syndrome.
