The stromal (i.e., non-follicular) immune cell content increased overall with tumor stage (Figure 7) and was characterized by a higher number of CD8+ T cells than CD4+ T cells at each stage (CD8 vs. CD4 cells for normal ovary, p = 0.003; early stage tumor, p = 0.008 and late stage tumor, p = 0.007). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is neoplasm.
