Mutations in human CAM genes such as neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), L1-CAM and close homologue of L1 (CHL1) are associated with brain disorders and psychological diseases such as schizophrenia and CRASH syndrome (Corpus callosum hypoplasia, Retardation, Adducted thumbs, Spastic paraplegia and Hydrocephalus) [6]–[8]. This evidence concerns the gene CHL1 and Hydrocephalus.
