Lee et al. examined four SNPs of CASP7 in a case-control study that consisted of 720 Korean lung cancer patients and 720 healthy controls, and they found that only rs2227310 homozygous GG variant genotype was associated with a significantly increased risk of lung cancer, compared with the rs2227310 wild-type CC genotype [29]. The gene discussed is CASP7; the disease is lung carcinoma.
