Wu et al. [35] revealed that the expression of miR-18a was significantly upregulated in GC tissue compared with normal gastric tissue, and could directly target PIAS3 (protein inhibitor of activated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3) and was positively correlated with levels of Survivin, Bcl-xl and c-myc. This evidence concerns the gene PIAS3 and gastric cancer.
