To investigate whether hyperphosphorylation of Tau was responsible for the change in microtubule assembly behavior identified following PMVECs infection with P. aeruginosa ExoY+, the previously described microtubule disassembly and reassembly studies were repeated using PMVECs stably transfected with a mutant form of human Tau (hTau) that could not be phosphorylated at Ser-214 (S214A). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and infection.
