Among the Legumain-positive samples, 164 of 188 (87.2%) were positive for lymph node metastasis compared with the Legumain negative group, of which 39 of 41 samples (94.8%) showed peritoneal metastasis, 34 of 37 samples (91.6%) showed hepatic metastasis, suggesting a potential role for Legumain in the promotion of cancer cell proliferation and growth. This evidence concerns the gene LGMN and cancer.
