Although the findings were not confirmed by the sensitive quantitative PCR techniques such as 5′ endonuclease based QPCR [38], [39], we did use qRT-PCR to confirm that levels of FRY mRNA expression are reduced in all human breast cancer lines examined (Figure 7a), indicating that loss of FRY expression is also associated with human breast cancer. The gene discussed is FRY; the disease is breast carcinoma.
