These data suggest a central role of the Dectin-2rs7134303 and MCP-1rs1024611 polymorphisms in the gender-associated susceptibility to RA and point out a possible participation of GATA-1 and GATA-2 in the modulation of Dectin-2 and MCP-1 expression and, consequently, in the activation of both monocytes and DCs.
