In leprosy patients, both the studied RIPK2 variants were observed to be in high LD [Leprosy patients (D′ = 0.64, LOD = 12.72, r2 = 0.2), MB patients (D’ = 0.53, LOD = 5.84, r2 = 0.56), PB patients (D′ = 0.84, LOD = 7.58, r2 = 0.34)], whereas in controls it was observed in a low degree of linkage disequilibrium (D′ = 0.38, LOD = 3.2, r2 = 0.06)]. This evidence concerns the gene RIPK2 and leprosy.
