Recently, alteration of miR-132-3p expression has also been reported in several other neurodegenerative diseases including schizophrenia, progressive supranuclear palsy, Huntington's disease and frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TDP-43 inclusions (FTLD-TDP) (Chen-Plotkin et al, 2012; Johnson et al, 2008; Miller et al, 2012; Smith et al, 2011). This evidence concerns the gene TARDBP and juvenile Huntington disease.
