Aggrus, also known as podoplanin, T1alpha, or gp36, is a type-I transmembrane sialoglycoprotein that is frequently upregulated in many types of tumors, including squamous cell carcinoma, mesothelioma, Kaposi’s sarcoma, testicular germ cell tumor, and brain tumor [9–12]. This evidence concerns the gene PDPN and squamous cell carcinoma.
