INS and Hyperglycemia: In the five Zebularine treated animals, which developed hyperglycemia before the end of the 90 days observation period was reached indicating rejection of the allograft, although delayed, there were remaining insulin expressing cells in 2 animals (histological scoring of ++ for both of them, diabetic at days 15 and 37) (Figure 4) but in 3 there were no such cells detectable (diabetic at days 51, 56 and 84).
