Interestingly, an enhanced expression of NNMT has been reported in a number of cancers, such as glioblastoma [16], stomach adenocarcinoma [17], [18], papillary thyroid cancers [19], [20], renal [5], [21], and oral squamous cell carcinomas [6], [8], colorectal cancer [22], bladder [9], lung and pancreatic cancers [23], [24]. This evidence concerns the gene NNMT and oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma.
