Feldmann et al. [15] has reported that, in pancreatic cancer cell lines, Hh inhibition by cyclopamine results in the downregulation of snail and the upregulation of E-cadherin, consistent with the inhibition of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transitions, which is mirrored by a striking reduction in in vitro invasive capacity. This evidence concerns the gene SNAI1 and pancreatic neoplasm.
