When compared with the male advanced NSCLC patients with the BCL2 CAG haplotype, there were no differences in death risk of patients carrying the CAA and AAG haplotypes (P = 0.702 and 0.358, respectively), but patients carrying the AAA haplotype had a significantly decreased death risk (HR = 0.71 and P = 0.033). This evidence concerns the gene BCL2 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
