After expulsion of the parasites, H. polygyrus–induced T-bet+GATA-3+ cells maintained GATA-3 expression similar to their T-bet− Th2 counterparts and constantly expressed T-bet at levels like the pool of T-bet+ Th1 effector/memory cells unrelated to the parasite infection (Figure 5C). The gene discussed is GATA3; the disease is parasitic infectious disease.
